Making a cutting board with end grain exposed is a lot more work but the final result is well worth the extra effort. The end grain is a lot denser than straight grain and the character of the final product speaks for itself!

All cutting boards are finished with Milk Paint brand Tongue Oil (Half & Half).  Tongue Oil is durable and food safe.  Tongue oil penetrates deep and cures after 30-days.  Unlike mineral oil which sits on the surface and washes off easily.
